Mixed Media Abstract Artist
Commissions-
Theresa is available for interior designer, corporate or personal commissions.Traditional oil portraits these are not! Theresa’s commissions can incorporate ephemera, memorabilia, even clothing into your own custom work of art. It can be as obvious as building a shadowbox around a baby sweater to as subtle as using your vacation menus to build a scenic landscape. Portraits can be clean thread sketches (embroidery on canvas) to multi layered fiber and paint renditions of your human (or pet!) loved ones. Portrait prices generally run from $100 to $1000 dollars depending on the size and scope of the piece.
Leasing-
Theresa networks with a cadre of artists from traditional to contemporary to manage Stifel & Capra Consulting. If you are a real estate stager, event planner or just a business owner with a short attention span we can help you create the environment to sell your listing, decorate your venue or keep your office looking marvelous.
Fundraising-
Did you know that when an artist donates a work of art to a charity auction they are only allowed to donate the cost of the supplies it took them to create the piece? Not only does this contribute to the stereotype of the myth of the Starving Artist, the organization inevitably does not receive the artists’ latest or best work. We have a new theory about art auctions. By treating the event more like a pop-up gallery with the Charitable Organization being the gallery and taking a gallery percentage and the artists making a traditional commission, MORE money is raised. The arts AND the organization are supported and their organization wins new fans among the artists patrons and the artists themselves.
Teaching-

Learn Heirloom Collage, Mixed Media, and Thread Sketching techniques. If stitching is more your thing, bring a photo of your favorite person and Theresa will teach you how to stitch a clean modern portrait.
Heirloom Collage -
Take those little pieces of memories too precious to throw away and make a work of art out of them! Bring your quirky snippets, papers, jewelry, fabric, or any odds and ends and integrate them into a brand new family heirloom on canvas.
